So pure was the concept where 2 young artists decided to create a side-project into the field of electronics. Being engaged into extreme metal music performance (e.g. Death Metal), the two individuals created the innovation of 'Division Alpha' (genre: Sympho Ethnic Tribal Techno EBM). When attempts were done, the two individuals parted their cooperation away from both Division Alpha and the other metal project (a full line up band).

After a long break, what was posted in the shelf was carried out back to work. At that time, the only individual behind showed an intense maturity in song writing, and this was reflected on the 1st promo called 'In Sensations Adorned' (genre: Tribal Trance Chill), under the moniker of 'Ethereal J'. Shortly after, the name was changed to ?MJ.5?, a name that might sound somehow technical & bionical. Some promos were sent to radios and labels. Results were somehow fruitless due to the unusual compositions of the same tracks. Afterwards, a US based net label (Obscured Records) decided to host the project (basically for the ?Heritage? CD that was never released). Again the results were scarce because after few months, both label and artist parted away, especially because the same label decided to concentrate on power electronics and noise. At that time, a gig was done, featuring the elites of the Maltese Goa Scene (e.g. DJ Gotama, Fish, Wailin on Didgeridoos, etc.). Comments were too positive, and MJ.5 was described as a fresh amalgamation of ideas and styles. Moreover the artist behind was praised for his vast knowledge of musical styles for instance, ethnic music, classical, folk, Shamanism, tribal and so forth. It was noted that MJ.5 is quite linked with the ambient scene, and this was strongly reflected in the psychedelic ambience emitted from the same mind, together with the long monotonous synth passages.

For the forthcoming time, MJ.5 will withdraw the genre of ?Trance?, and will focus into a more suitable approach that matches the artist's desires. This new approach will be strongly related with the world of EBM, Breakbeat, Industrial and Ritual Ambient styles without withdrawing the oriental elements. In addition, several proposals were offered from local and foreign artists/performers for some split releases and for possible gigs.

The concept of MJ.5 stands only for fine ears, and moreover, for those who are committed to the darkest as yet obscured side of music, without rejecting these few celestial tunes. The next tunes might also attract the individuals into the chaotic side of sounds.
